Situated  in the French Alps  France  on a south‑facing plateau at about 1,860 m above sea level in the Grandes Rousses massif, Alpe d’Huez  can also go by the name of “The Island in the Sun” because its slopes receive around 300 days of sunshine a year.
Alpe d'Huez. The resort’s ski domain extends from the village up to the summit of the Pic Blanc at 3,330 m, offering magnificent views over the surrounding Alps.

It boasts over 250 km of marked pistes (across Alpe d’Huez and neighbouring linked villages) with terrain for every level: beginners, intermediates, and advanced.

For advanced skiers, the infamous “La Sarenne” black run awaits — at about 16 km long, one of the longest non‑stop downhill runs in Europe.

The resort is highly family‑friendly: good schools, plenty of wide gentle slopes, and modern resort infrastructure.
Beyond skiing, there are lots of activities off the piste: snowparks, cross‑country trails, and in summer the area transforms for hiking, biking, etc.
