Sestriere is a renowned ski resort located in the Italian Alps, in the Piedmont region, near the French border. It's part of the Via Lattea (Milky Way) ski area, one of the largest in Europe, offering over 400 km (250 miles) of interconnected slopes.
Situated at an altitude of 2,035 meters (6,677 feet), Sestriere can boast reliable snow conditions throughout the season and has hosted numerous international competitions, including events during the 2006 Turin Winter Olympics. The ski resort offers a mix of runs for all skill levels, from beginner slopes to expert black runs and off-piste terrain. It also features modern lifts, snow parks, and après-ski options, making it a popular destination for both serious skiers and holidaymakers.
